Dump the Pump Tradition will continue on June 19

KQ2

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) Dump the Pump is a nationwide progarm that permits passengers to use public trasit free of charge.

The program aims to encourage people who are unfamiliar with puplic transit to see if it will suit their transportation needs.

Michelle Schultz, the Transit General Manager, notes that "We kind of have a disadvantage in St. Joe, because you can get anywhere in town by driving fairly quickly. A lot of people don't want to spend the time on the bus. However, if they try it, they find out maybe it's not as long as they think it might be."

This will be the 19th year of this programs worldwide commencement and Shultz hopes that it will result in a substational gain of public trasit users.
