Semi rollover closes part of southbound I-29 Thursday
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — An accident caused part of Interstate 29 to be closed Thursday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., the St. Joseph Police Department sent out an alert for drivers to avoid the area of the 48.6 mile marker of southbound I-29 due to a traffic accident.
A semi truck was flipped on its side causing both lanes of SB I-29 to be closed.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, southbound I-29 from mile marker 50 to 48.6 is closed and drivers will need to use an alternate route.
Crews are on the scene working to clean up the crash.
