SJPD releases January Crime Statistics

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) — The St. Joseph Police Department released new crime statistics for January on its Facebook page.

In January, there were:

-122 checks for trouble

-36 hit-and-run incidents

-126 traffic accidents

-28 assaults

-50 burglaries

-204 domestic disturbances

-9 shootings

-35 shots fired calls

-23 stolen vehicles

-877 traffic stops

-200 arrests

The SJPD states that these statistics reflect the ongoing work that their officers have done for the community in January.
