Empty Bowls fundraiser to be held next month

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Several local organizations are banding together to host a fundraiser within the next month.

Attendees will pay a $25 admission fee to partake in "Empty Bowls", happening from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, at the Word Of Life Church, located at 3902 NE Riverside Road.

After paying the admission fee, attendees will be able to taste several options of soups and other delicious dishes available.

The companies that are putting on the event include Interserv, Second Harvest Community Food Bank, Catholic Charities and the Open Door Food Kitchen.

All of the proceeds that are gathered at the event will benefit the Hunger Coalition in St. Joseph.
