Tracking Friday pm t-storms & a dry Easter weekend

Good Friday morning!

We’re starting off quiet, but don’t let that fool you—today is an impactful weather day. Expect a warm and humid afternoon with highs climbing into the mid to upper 70s. Clouds will stick around, and a few spotty showers are possible late morning into early afternoon.

The main concern arrives later today. Thunderstorms are expected to develop between about 3 and 5 p.m. and continue into the evening. Some of these storms could become severe, with damaging winds as the primary threat, along with large hail, heavy rain, and a possible isolated tornado.

Storms will move west to east and wrap up early Saturday morning.

Looking ahead, cooler and breezy conditions settle in for the weekend, but we’ll start to see sunshine return by late Saturday into Sunday. Early next week stays on the cooler side with a few chances for showers, before warmer temperatures return by the middle of next week.
