Central coach hired as next Platte County girls basketball coach

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Central High School basketball coach will be leading a different program next year.

On Monday morning, Platte County announced Jacob Kimble will be the next girls basketball coach.

Kimble has been the Central boys basketball coach since the 2019-2020 season.

The Central graduate coached at his alma mater for 20 years. Kimble started off as a volunteer, and has coached every level of high school basketball at Central.
