ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV) -- Local Rotary clubs across the region will gather Thursday to load the Shoes Caravan with Shoes for Orphan Souls.

This year marks the 25th anniversary that Rotary District 6040, which features 52 area Rotary Clubs, has participated in this donation process.

The area clubs will meet from 2:45 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 23 in the East Hills Library parking lot to load up the shoes and send the caravan on the way.

The end goal for District 6040 is to have donated 25,000 shoes by the end of the week.
