CAMERON, Mo (KQTV) -- A United States veterans group held the 8th Annual UTV/ATV Patriot Ride on Saturday Morning.

Over 400 Side-By-Side vehicles drove from C.P. Excavating to the Cameron Veterans Home Assistance League starting at 10:30 a.m.

Shortly after all vehicles arrived at the Veterans home, a brief ceremony was held to recognize the participants and donors and to thank the veterans in attendance for their service.

"The number of people that are here, and the amount of support that we got from the people and donations by simply being here," President of Cameron Veterans Assistance League Wayne Pierson said. "It means so much to our veterans here in the home."

The Veterans Assistance League will be hosting several events throughout the summer.

Such as Golf tournaments in Cameron, St. Joseph, and Maryville, and Trap Shooting competitions.

You can find more information about the Veterans Assistance League on their Facebook page and website.
