Hawaiian Bros changes free plate deal among Royals home success

Hawaiian Bros Island Grill

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) -- This season, Hawaiian Bros Island Grill announced a new rewards deal with the Kansas City Royals, but that deal has now changed.

Initially, rewards members could redeem a free plate the day after the Royals scored six or more runs at home. The team met this criterion eight times since the beginning of the season.

Hawaiian Bros announced on Wednesday, May 6, that the original deal has changed. The company cited overwhelmed locations and workers as the reason for the update.

The new promotion provides customers with a coupon for a free lunch after purchasing a plate on the same day after the Royals score six or more runs at Kauffman Stadium. Details and joining information are available here.
