SJFD responds to fire on South 25th St Saturday morning

ST. JOSEPH, Mo (KQTV) -- Saturday morning at around 11:15 a.m., the St. Joseph Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1500 block of South 25th Street.

According to the fire department, the house was occupied, but no occupants were home at the time.

No injuries were reported for firefighters or residents.

Firefighters from Engine 9, Engine 11, Engine 8, Truck 7, Ladder 5, Rescue 10, Rescue 1, and Battalion 33 were dispatched.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames showing and worked quickly to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
