One man dead after shots fired incident in Platte County

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- A 36-year-old male is dead after being shot and killed Thursday night, according to the Platte County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities arrived on scene around 10:45 p.m on Thursday, May 14, near Northwest Hillview Road Circle following a reported domestic disturbance. Law enforcement found a 36-year-old male deceased from gunshot wounds.

A 57-year-old male occupant of the residence was taken into custody and then transported to the Platte County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and names are being withheld until a next of kin is notified, according to a Platte County Sheriff's Office press release.
