Angst family celebrates 15 years of Club Fit

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- From a young age, Ricky Angst knew what he wanted to do, and for the last 15 years, he has been living out his dream.

Angst, with his sister Ericka, opened Club Fit on King Avenue in St. Joseph back in 2011.

"It's just always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid," Angst said.

Angst made Club Fit a reality, but what makes it truly special is that it is the third generation of an Angst operating a business in the same location.

Sonny Angst had a business at the 5940 King Hill Avenue location. Sonny's son, Rick, had an upholstery business. Now, Rick's kids, Ricky and Ericka, own Club Fit and Club Fun.

Club Fit has been around for 15 years now, and Angst is excited for what the next 15 years could look like.

"We decided that we were going to plant our flag here in Saint Joe, you know, reinvest in Club Fit and keep working on Club Fun," Angst said.

Angst is also an educator and coach at Bode Middle School.
