Andrew County celebrates America’s 250th Birthday

SAVANNAH, Mo (KQTV) -- The residents of Andrew County took to Main Street on Saturday for the Andrew County Parade and Fair.

This year's theme coincides with America's 250th birthday, and American flags were all over the vehicles in the parade.

"I'm so happy that the people here in the Andrew County fair board have incorporated the 250 celebration into the Andrew County fair this year," 9th District State Representative Den VanSchoiack said.

Following the parade, the residents participated in the Fair on the Square.

Several attractions were around the town square, including face painting, bounce houses, fair food, and a car show.

"I was here when we celebrated the 200th anniversary, and this is every bit as spectacular and wonderful as that celebration was," VanSchoiack said.

The fair is set to end on Sunday, June 21st, in the evening.
