St. Joseph Sports Commission executive director Brett Esely announced on Wednesday that Kansas State will play Creighton in the 4th Annual Bill Snyder Women's Basketball Classic at 5pm on Saturday, December 12 in Civic Arena.

“We have developed a great partnership with Kansas State Women’s Basketball in which we relish and embrace the opportunity to bring this level of competition to downtown St. Joseph,” Esely said. “In sharing the desire with K-State to find a great, high-level opponent for the game each year, we are extremely excited to welcome Creighton, a program with excellent tradition and a strong fan/alumni base in this region to this year’s matchup!"

Kansas State is coming off a 19-win season in 2025-26 and an opening round win in the WBIT. The Wildcats are led by former Hall of Fame MoWest coach Jeff Mittie. Kansas State has made five consecutive postseason appearances between the NCAA and WBIT Tournaments.
