Subject arrested in alleged stabbing at Museum Hill Apartments

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- There was heavy police presence at the Museum Hill Homes on Angelique Street Sunday evening as authorities worked to bring a suspect out of a residence following a reported stabbing.

Police have confirmed that a stabbing occurred at the scene, and one individual has been taken into custody.

According to witnesses at the scene, a woman ran out of her home in distress, visibly covered in blood, and asked nearby residents for help.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Buchanan County EMS. Her current condition has not yet been released.

Neighbors speaking with KQ2 have identified the alleged suspect as a woman, claiming that she has reportedly pulled knives on others in the area in the past.

At around 7:22 p.m., the St. Joseph Police Department arrested the subject.
