ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Jabreon Johnson appeared before Judge Rebecca Spencer on Thursday in connection with an alleged stabbing incident at the Museum Hill Apartments on August 10th.

Johnson, who first appeared in court on August 12th, returned for a preliminary hearing that was scheduled to address a motion to set bond.

During Thursday’s proceedings, Johnson remained visibly unbothered alongside her state-appointed attorney.

Her demeanor did not change when her legal counsel requested a mental health evaluation, a motion that was subsequently granted by the judge.

That evaluation has been scheduled for September, with a follow-up hearing to take place after the results are submitted.

Johnson currently faces charges including first-degree assault and attempted assault.

A protection order has also been filed against her in connection with the incident.
