Individual arrested after car vs. train crash early Sunday morning

BUCHANAN COUNTY, Mo. (KQTV) -- At around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, local law enforcement agencies issued an alert to avoid the area between 60th Road and Bethel Road on U.S. 59 Highway for a traffic emergency.

According to the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department, the incident was a car and train crash.

The driver of the vehicle was allegedly intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The case will be reviewed by the prosecuting attorney, and no charges have been filed yet.
