1 dead after pedestrian crash on 36 Highway

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- One man is dead after being hit by a car on 36 Highway and Riverside Road Tuesday evening.

The St. Joseph Police Department responded to a call at 9:47 p.m. for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.

According to SJPD, the man sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The crash remains under investigation by SJPD's Traffic Unit.

No additional information is being released, and the road has been reopened to the public.
