Tarkio man arrested on harassment and possession of child pornography charges

TARKIO, Mo. (KQTV) -- A Tarkio, Missouri, man is currently being held without bond following his arrest on first-degree harassment and possession of child pornography.

Robert Prestly was taken into custody on September 6, 2026, by the Franklin County Nebraska Sheriff’s Office.

The charges against Prestly stem from a complaint filed with the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office on August 16, 2026.

Following an initial investigation into the harassment allegation, law enforcement officials pursued multiple search warrants, then submitted a Probable Cause statement to the Atchison County Prosecutor’s Office.

Upon review of the statement, the Atchison County Circuit Court issued a warrant for Prestly’s arrest.

The warrant cites him on one count of Harassment in the 1st Degree and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

Prestyly was taken into custy without incident and is being held without bond.
