Semi-truck crash closes eastbound U.S. 36 Tuesday night

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The St. Joseph Police Department have closed part of U.S. 36, after a semi-truck crashed onto its side Tuesday night.

According to SJPD, officers received a call about a semi-truck on its side on U.S. 36 around 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said that the semi-truck was southbound on Interstate 29 and took the exit to get on U.S. 36. The semi-truck overturned onto its side as it entered the highway, according to police.

The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries.

As of 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, eastbound U.S. 36 was closed as crews clean up the crash.
