Mosaic Life Care Cancer Center provides a Spa Day

Darren Doyle | KQ2

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Mosaic's Cancer Center held its annual spa day, offering various services, products, and more to help patients relax from the stresses of treatment.

Multiple vendors throughout the center offered do-it-yourself crafts, screen-printed shirts, flowers, and more. There were also different foods and drinks for patients who attended to try.

It wouldn't be a spa day without the services Mosaic provided, such as massages, sound baths, and more.

For the center's Heather Thornton, many show deep appreciation for this event, and she and Mosaic's team work to host it every year.

"To see patients walk out from a facial or a chair massage or a sound bath or, to get their nails done, and just have that sense of peace and relaxation, and to say thank you. Just to see that we know that our purpose is met," Thornton shared. "Even today, we heard it over and over, 'I needed this."

Thornton shared that Mosaic is deeply appreciative of the vendors who don't hesitate to accept their invites each year.
