M’Shoogy’s offering $1,000 reward after dog found with gunshot wound north of Faucett

SAVANNAH, Mo. (KQTV) -- According to a local veterinarian, a dog was shot in nose Wednesday night north of Faucett, Mo.

Gary Silverglat, Co-founder of M’Shoogy’s and Angels, said they got a call about the dog showing up at a house severely injured.

"We told them to get the dog here at Angels immediately," Silverglat said. "The dog came in and immediately we saw that this dog has probably has been shot. We x-rayed the dog, found there was a bullet in the dog."

The dog was stabilized, and the bullet was removed from her body. M'Shoogy's is searching for answers about who the person was that abandoned the dog and is offering a cash reward to anyone with information about the previous owner.

"We need the public help because abandonment is against the law," Silverglat said, "We are offering $1000 reward for information for convection of who abandon this dog. When a dog is abandon, it's a death sentence."

Currently, Silverglat is working with the Buchanan County prosecuting attorney on the pet abandonment cases.

"They are prosecuting several right now. They were abandoned in Bluffwood and had heart worms on to of that which we treated," Silverglat said.
