YWCA seeks nominations for ‘Kelsy Beshears Racial Justice Award’

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The YWCA, NAACP and Missouri Western State University are paying tribute to social justice activist Kelsy Beshears by presenting the Kelsy Beshears Racial Justice Award.

The award can be received by an individual, group, or organization that embraces Beshears' commitment to promoting racial justice and eliminating racism.

The award will be presented at the 30th Annual Day of Commitment to Eliminate Racism Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 24.

Nominations are due by Friday, Aug. 21. Individuals or groups can be nominated by visiting the YWCA's website.
