Home Instead celebrates 10 years of serving St. Joseph seniors

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Home Instead celebrated its 10-year anniversary with multiple ways for the community to connect.

For the last 10 years, Home Instead has provided in-home care and companionship for older adults in St. Joseph.

Brent Hoffart, owner of Home Instead said serving the senior community in St. Joseph means the world.

"We take it very personally. We have been changing lives for 10 years," he said. "Everyday our team comes to work, our caregivers and our administrative staff they are so passionate about changing lives, enhancing lives and bring peace of minds to families."

When the company started in St. Joseph in 2016, they started with nothing and was able to build it from the ground up.

"We are serving 90 clients, over 100 caregivers on staff, 13 administrative staff and we got three offices," he said. "The demand is there, and we are just proud that we're able to serve older adults everyday and help them stay in their home. Wherever they call home."

Hoffart said the impact they have had for the older adults they serve is priceless.

"Their children and their family members come to us and say I don't know what we would've done without you. That is everything we need to just motivate us day in and day out," he said.

Hoffart said they are excited for the next 10 years especially since the aging adult population will surpass children in 2029.

"The demand is there people want to stay in their home, and we are in the right place at the right time.," he said. "The best thing we can do is continue to grow and build our business, so we can serve more older adults, employ more caregivers and more administrative staff. Growth brings more opportunity for everybody."

In the last 10 years, Home Instead has served 811 clients since it's opening back in 2016.
