Holt County Sheriff’s Office suspect from Saturday captured

HOLT COUNTY, Mo (KQTV) -- The Holt County Sheriff's Department reported a crash at the 67-mile marker of highway I-29 on Saturday, April 11th.

Reports of a black male wearing dark clothing fleeing into the woods shortly after the incident. In an update around 7:00 pm, the office stated that they believe the man is from Nebraska.

Around 8:00 pm on Sunday the office updated the public via their social media that the suspect has been captured.

The office mentioned on their page that currently, the only charge would be leaving the scene of an accident, according to the office's social media post. The office had also believed that the suspect had called someone to come pick him up and was not believed to be a danger to the public.
