One person displaced after fire in north end of St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- One person is displaced after a fire this morning in the north end of St. Joseph, according to the St. Joseph Fire Department.

Fire officials received a call around 11:45 am on Sunday, June 14. The report concerned a fire at a home in the area of 1700 8th Avenue.

Crews arrived at 1700 8th Avenue and found heavy smoke and flames. They made an aggressive interior fire attack. The fire was brought under control shortly after.

Paramedics transported one woman to Mosaic Life Care for a medical examination, but they did not identify any injuries.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
