ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Originally scheduled to open June 30, a statement on the Missouri Department of Transportation website Saturday morning said the bridge is now open to traffic.

After the project began in Feb. of 2026, the bridge is now open to traffic on Saturday, June 27.

MoDOT did state, however, that intermittent lane closures of I-29 and Gene Field Road may occur in the next week while crews finish up shoulder work.
