ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Two individuals from St. Joseph have died after wrecking their motorcycle around 4:00 am on Sunday, June 28, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H.

The report states that the 2025 Kawasaki ZX6R Ninja was being driven by a 53-year-old man from St. Joseph, who was westbound on Missouri 6 when he lost control of the bike in the curve. The bike then went off the north side of the roadway, and the left side of the bike impacted the ground.

The bike then continued west and struck a steep embankment, causing both the man and a 47-year-old female, also from St. Joseph, to be ejected from the bike.

Both individuals riding the motorcycle were pronounced deceased at the scene around 4:19 am. Next of kin has been notified, and the MSHP was assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office at the scene.
