MARYVILLE, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Nodaway County Parade was held Saturday, July 11th, in Maryville.

The parade allowed different groups from around Nodaway County to showcase their floats and displays. Floats were judged in different categories for a chance to take home trophies.

Eugene Field Elementary School Principal Chelli Green says the parade gives different aspects of Maryville the chance to come together and celebrate.

“I think it’s awesome. We can celebrate our differences; that’s what makes us unique. No matter what political, or what you agree with or disagree with. I like how we can all come together and be positive people together.”

The parade marks the start of the last day of the Nodaway County Fair in Maryville. Events follow later in the day. For more on those events, click here.
