St. Joseph ready to welcome the Chiefs with signs

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- Chiefs training camp is now two weeks away with the first practice open to the public on July 30 at Missouri Western State University.

The St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Visitors Center at the East Hills Library are now handing out 'Welcome Chiefs" signs to the public.

One thing you may have noticed is that these signs look very familiar. Christian Mengel, Director of Communications and Marketing at the St. Joseph Visitors Bureau, says they made these signs the same as years past for a reason.

"Year after year, if you can save it, then we can actually spread them out further," said Mengel. "People don't have to feel like theirs is outdated."

If you're still looking for a sign, check in with the St. Joseph Visitors Bureau. They will be passing out free signs until they run out.
