Family home suffers fire in the area of 4700 Wilshire Drive North

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Red Cross was called to a family home in the area of 4700 Wilshire Drive North after the structure was damaged by a fire Saturday evening.

According to the St. Joseph Fire Department, first responders were called to the home around 7:40 pm on Saturday, July 18. Upon arrival, the crew found a home with flames and smoke.

The family was home at the time of the blaze, and everyone made it out of the structure safely, including pets.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the SJFD.
