Missouri Department of Conversation

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- It’s deer season in Missouri, so motorists can expect to see more deer on the roads.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri drivers were involved in more than 2,800 deer-related crashes in 2025, resulting in six deaths and 435 injuries.

The most important tip for drivers to remember is to never swerve to avoid hitting a deer on the roadway.
