Lafayette and Chillicothe split the doubleheader on Tuesday night

(ST. JOSEPH, MO) - The Lafayette Fighting Irish hosted the Chillicothe Hornets in some Tuesday night action. In the girls game, Lafayette takes a 51-31 victory, but in the boys game, Chillicothe comes out on top 39-36.

In the girls matchup, it was the battle of the #6 team in Class 4 with Lafayette and the #8 in Chillicothe. The Fighting Irish controlled this one throughout the contest and now improve to 20-3 with the Hornets dropping to 18-5

In the boys game, it was a tight one throughout, but in the end the Hornets were able to sneak out a win. Chillicothe moves to 13-8 on the year, while Lafayette falls to 4-17.

Lafayette's next time back on the court will be Thursday, February 19 at home against St. Pius X. Chillicothe will return home to face the Kirksville Tigers on Thursday, February 19.
