Albany, Maysville girls hoops advance to Class 2 District 16 Championship

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) The championship game for Class 2 District 16 is set. The Albany Warriors in the first game of the night defeated the Nodaway Valley Thunder, 58-44. In the second game of the night, the Maysville Wolverines defeated the St. Joseph Christian Lions, 48-44.

Albany was led by the Epperly Twins with Kennedi scoring 19, while Maddix had 18. Despite the loss, Annalee Livengood scored 28 points for Nodaway Valley.

Maysville's leaders in scoring were Paisley McClamroch who had 14 and Sophia Redman who had 13. Three players for St. Joseph Christian combined for 40 of their 44 points. Maddie Glise led the way with 15, followed by Brooklin Hill with 13 and Addy Dawson with 12.

#1 Albany and #2 Maysville will meet in the championship game on Friday at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Christian High School.
