Mid-Buchanan baseball continues to roll with a win against North Platte

DEARBORN, Mo. (KQTV) -- The Mid-Buchanan Dragons are now on a five-game winning streak after they defeated the North Platte Panthers, 7-5.

Mid-Buchanan sophomore Chase Frieden pitched six of the seven innings, throwing seven strikeouts while giving up four hits and four runs. North Platte junior Benjamin Horsley pitched six innings, where he finished with three strikeouts and allowed four hits for seven runs.

Mid-Buchanan is now 15-6 on the year, while North Platte drops to 14-8. 

The Dragons will now head to Lathrop to take on the Mules on May 1, with first pitch set for 4:30 p.m.  The Panthers will get a little bit of time off with their next game scheduled for May 4, where they will host the Rock Port Blue Jays. First pitch for this matchup will be at 5 p.m.
