Central Indian boys volleyball clinches conference title with their win over Oak Park

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KQTV) -- On a night celebrating their seniors, the Central boys volleyball team wins the Suburban KC - Red District conference after defeating Oak Park, 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-12).

Five seniors helped pave the way for this young program. Tommy Phan, AJ Whiteman, Christian Lopez, Janndee Casem and Jaxon Limle have led the team this year and will be leaving the program after having the best season in Central boys volleyball history.

"I know it's only a three-year program, but these five seniors mean a lot to us and our success that we've been able to build, " said Head Coach Daniel McCamy. "They've really created a foundation for us that we can build off of."

Central is now 26-6-1 on the season and will compete in one more game before starting district play as they head to Lafayette High School to face the Fighting Irish. The game will be on Thursday, May 7 starting at 5 p.m.
