St. Joe Bucks football team takes down Kansas City Bulldogs; clinch 1 seed in playoffs

SAVANNAH, Mo. (KQTV) - The St. Joe Bucks football team had its final home game of the regular season Saturday afternoon in Savannah, as the team went on to roll to victory over the Kansas City Bulldogs, 44-14.

The victory clinches the 1 seed for the Bucks in the Central Midwest Football League, as the team improves to 6-1 on the season.

Quarterback Keante Green threw for 410 yards and accounted for 5 touchdowns. He also added 103 yards rushing on the ground. Savannah High School alum Cade Chappell rushed for 308 yards on the ground for the Bucks and had two rushing touchdowns. Logan Hartzell also blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown for St. Joe.

The Bucks will host a playoff game at Savannah High School on Saturday, June 27th at 6 pm.
