Savannah High School volleyball tops East Buchanan in 5-set thriller

SAVANNAH, Mo. (KQTV) - The Savannah High School volleyball team fought off a tough East Buchanan team in a back and forth 3-2 5-set victory on Tuesday night (25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-10).

"Usually early on in the season we struggle to kind of find our rhythm and and really have confidence in our rotation just because it's new," said Savannah head coach Miranda Mizera. "We're working in some new pieces so I kind of expected we'd have a little bit of up and down. But it's high school volleyball there's always bigger ups and bigger lows than you think."

Savannah improves to 3-2 on the season and will next play at St. Joseph Christian on Thursday, September 3rd at 6 pm.

East Buchanan falls to 5-2 and next hosts Maryville on the 3rd at 5 pm.
