KQ2 High School Football Team of the Week: The Plattsburg Tigers

PLATTSBURG, Mo. (KQTV) - The KQTV High School Football Team of the Week sponsored by Altec is the Plattsburg Tigers.

Plattsburg narrowly defeated Penney 35-33 this past Friday night and it was the first time the Tigers had beaten the Hornets since 2003.

Plattsburg, led by alum and new head coach John Gassman is off to a 3-0 start to the season for the first time as an 11-man team since 2019. An incredible turnaround from last season where Plattsburg finished winless at 0-10.

The Tigers have a tough week 4 meeting with another 3-0 team, the #5 Mid-Buchanan Dragons in Faucett on Friday, September 18th at 7 pm.
