DeKalb High School senior Rylie Burdette signs with Highland Community College softball

(DEKALB, MO) - Dekalb High School senior Rylie Burdette had her college signing day on Friday, February 27th and she signed with Highland Community College softball.

Burdette, a four year starter at catcher, played a big role in DeKalb's 14-8 season that ended in a Class 1 District 7 semifinals loss to Stanberry. She was named an All-State Catcher in Class 1 in 2025. Burdette finished with an incredible .422 batting average in her time with DeKalb.

Burdette now heads to play with the Scotties in Highland, Kansas at the next level.
