East Buchanan junior Logan Jessen wins Class 2 District 4 Boys Golf Tournament, Bulldogs finish second in team scores

(LAWSON, MO) - The Class 2 District 4 High School Boys Golf Tournament was on Thursday in lawson at the Hidden Valley Golf Course.

East Buchanan junior Logan Jessen won the district title as he shot a 75. Jessen's teammate, junior Kolten Woodside finished tied for 5th place with Lawson's Peyton Swope and Trenton's Drake Weaver as they all shot an 80 score.

East Buchanan finished second in the team scores with a score of 337, just one point behind Butler-Appleton City with 336. Trenton finished third with 338, Lawson was sixth with 346.

"It started off a little chilly this morning, I just came out with the mindset, just play some golf today," said Jessen. "We got out of school, so it was awesome, and yeah, just played some golf!"

"It just shows you that every stroke matters down the stretch," said East Buchanan head coach Michael Willhite. "We had several people have bad holes and you just gotta keep your head up and keep pushing through it and they did a great job of that today. We got the outcome we're looking for."

East Buchanan as a team now heads back to the Class 2 State Tournament for the second straight season. That will be on May 18th and 19th in Farmington, Missouri at the Bogey Creek Golf Club.
