Benton High School softball player Torri Barron passes 100 career hits and 100 RBI

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) - Benton High School senior Torii Barron achieved a rare feat Wednesday afternoon on the road against Lincoln College Prep.

On a 2-run home run Barron hit in the top of the first, she collected her 100th career hit and joined the 100 hit/100 RBI club for her high school career.

A milestone like this is rare, one has to almost always start for varsity all four years and maintain an elite batting average as well over that time. Along with consistently having teammates getting on base ahead of them in the lineup.

The majority of girls who achieve these numbers are heavily recruited to play DI or DII college softball.

Barron was 2-for-2 with 3 RBI on Wednesday before the game was rained out in the 2nd inning with Benton leading Lincoln Prep 16-1.
