Noah Cameron gives up five runs in fifth pitching defeat of the season as Royals fall to Rays

ST. PETERSBURG, Fl. (KQTV) - It was a rough go at it for St. Joseph native Noah Cameron Wednesday night on the mound. The Central High School alum struck out 5 but gave up 8 hits and 5 runs in 5 innings pitched in a 5-3 Kansas City Royals defeat to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Cameron picks up his fifth loss of the year, he's now 4-5 on the mound. His ERA is now 4.50 on the season. Cameron's next scheduled start will be on Tuesday, June 30th in a re-match with the Rays at 6:40 pm at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

The Royals drop to 34-47 and conclude the 4-game road series with the Rays on Thursday, June 25th at 11:10 am.
