Noah Cameron picks up 6th victory of season as Royals edge out Twins

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KQTV) - St. Joseph native Noah Cameron picked up his 6th victory of the season on Wednesday as the Kansas City Royals narrowly defeat the Minnesota Twins, 2-1.

In 8 innings pitched, the Central High School alum gave up just 2 hits and 1 run while having 9 strikeouts.

Cameron was helped out offensively by a sac fly from Kyle Isbel in the 5th inning which tied the game at 1. Michael Massey then hit a solo home run that went 422 feet in the 7th to give KC the lead and eventually the win.

Cameron improves to 6-8 on the season with a 4.37 ERA. His next scheduled start will be on Monday, August 10th on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 9:10 pm.

The Royals improve to 48-67 on the season and will look to sweep the Twins on Thursday, August 6th at 6:30 pm at Kauffman Stadium.
