Tracking continued above average temperatures
We’re waking up in the middle of the workweek with temperatures about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than this time yesterday. Morning lows are in the upper 20s and low 30s.
We’ll warm up steadily through the day, with afternoon highs returning to the low 50s. Expect plenty of sunshine as high pressure settles into northwest Missouri.
Cloud cover increases overnight, leading to partly cloudy skies Thursday. Highs will climb into the mid-50s with just a 10% chance of rain.
We continue warming into Friday as rain chances gradually increase. Highs will reach the upper 50s with a 10% to 20% chance of showers, mainly late Friday night into early Saturday morning.
The best chance for rain arrives Saturday morning. Temperatures will cool slightly, with highs returning to the low 50s.
The cooldown is brief. Sunshine returns Sunday with highs back in the 60s, followed by upper 60s by Tuesday.
