Tracking a frigid Monday morning

Good morning and happy Monday.

We are waking up to a very chilly start to the workweek. Temperatures are in the single digits, with wind chill values below zero this morning. There will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day, but it won’t do much to help us warm up. Highs this afternoon will only reach the upper 20s to low 30s.

Thankfully, a surge of warmer air will move in from the south Tuesday, pushing highs into the upper 50s. Temperatures will remain in the 50s through Thursday before climbing into the 60s by Friday.

We stay mostly dry throughout the week, although there is a chance of rain from Wednesday night into Thursday.
