Tracking a warm and breezy Tuesday

Temperatures are off to a much warmer start this morning across northwest Missouri. We’re running about 15 to 20 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. While it is milder, it’s also breezy, with southwest winds at 15 to 20 mph. That breeze is keeping wind chill values in the teens, but we’re no longer dealing with the subzero conditions we saw yesterday morning.

Today will be significantly warmer overall, with afternoon highs climbing into the upper 50s and low 60s. Skies will be partly cloudy as cloud cover gradually increases through the morning and into the afternoon.

We’ll stay dry through the day today. A small system moves in tomorrow evening, bringing scattered showers after sunset and continuing into the early morning hours Thursday.

Highs settle into the middle to upper 50s Wednesday and Thursday. Warmer air returns by Friday, with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Temperatures then fall back into the low to middle 40s by the end of the weekend.
