On Wednesday we are expecting a significant warm up across much of northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri with high temperatures reaching into the mid to upper 70's. we should see a mix of sun and clouds that will help us reach those temperatures by the afternoon.

A strong southerly wind will increase throughout the day, becoming strong at times and contributing to elevated fire concerns and difficult travel for high profile vehicles.

By late afternoon into the evening hours, scattered thunderstorms are possible. Coverage will be limited some storms may produce gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall.
