Tracking late-week rain and t-storm chances

Warm, windy, and mainly dry conditions Wednesday will give way to more numerous rain and t-storm chances through the second half of the week as an active pattern returns to Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. An isolated t-shower will be possible Wednesday evening as a cold front stalls across the region. Better chances for rain and a few thunderstorms arrive through the day Thursday, especially north of highway 36, with a low-end risk for hail and gusty winds Thursday night. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to flood concerns in parts of the area heading into the weekend, with multiple rounds of wet weather in the forecast.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and breezy, 30% t-showers. Low 48.

THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy, 60% showers and t-storms. High 73.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy and cooler, 60% showers. High 62.
