Tracking weekend rain and t-storm chances

Cool and mainly dry conditions Friday evening will give way to another round of rain and thunderstorms after midnight, as an active pattern continues across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas. Chances for shower and thunderstorm activity will persist into the weekend, with dry periods and warmer temperatures between rounds of wet weather. The threat for strong to severe storms Saturday and Sunday is low, however a greater severe risk could be in the cards for early next week as temperatures continue to warm and more robust dynamics set up over the region.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and cool, 60% t-showers late. Low 48.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, 70% showers and t-storms. High 75.

SUNDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy, 60% scattered t-showers. High 74.
